I have over 20 years of engineering experience and is a Structural Engineer at Mcintosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd., Prior to joining McIntosh, I worked at Planmac Engineering Inc., a multi-disciplinary engineering firm dealing primarily in civil engineering projects involving: transportation facilities, transportation structures; buildings; environmental works; and land development. While at Planmac, I functioned in the role of Structural Engineer where I was responsible for designing, managing, estimating, and inspecting projects in the above-mentioned fields.
As a structural Engineer at Mcintosh Perry my responsibilities includes but not limited to, Completing detailed structural design calculations and analysis; Perform technical reviews of work prepared by colleagues for quality assurance purposes; Develop and review engineering of new bridges and bridge rehabilitation design; Provide assistance in the support and development of junior bridge group staff; Provide engineering expertise and services related to the design, rehabilitation, evaluation, inspection of bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures; Mentoring and managing junior staff; and Prepare and review cost estimates, specifications, tender documents, and reports.
Kourosh Shirani is a Senior Structural & Marine Engineer at Planmac Engineering Inc., a multi-disciplinary engineering firm dealing primarily in civil engineering projects involving: transportation facilities, transportation structures; buildings; environmental works; and land development. He is responsible for designing & estimating in the abovementioned fields.
Kourosh has 27 years of experience as a Structural Engineer and Project Manager in EPCM projects. He directed a consulting engineering company with 10 engineers and drafters for four years. He has major experience in the following industries: Buildings, Mining and Metals, Energy and Oil & Gas. Kourosh has diverse and in-depth knowledge of structural engineering; construction field experience, including management, supervision and inspection; and is an expert in analysis and design of steel, concrete structures and equipment foundations. Prior to joining Planmac Engineering Inc., he held positions in the private sector in engineering in Iran.
